How We Create a Competition-Crushing Marketing Program

In this week’s training video, we discuss the basic components that make up your sales process and lay a foundation that will help you create a competition crushing marketing program. Unfortunately, most small business owners don’t know the difference between a distribution channel, a strategy and a tactic. Your distribution channel is the goal that you want to achieve for your business, the strategy is how the goal could be achieved, and the tactics are the actions you take to execute the strategy.

Any number of strategies can be used to achieve a business goal and it often takes more than one to achieve a big goal. But with each strategy involved it will require its own unique tactical plan to be successful. In last week’s blog, we discussed the basics components that make up a successful sales process, review it here. When choosing strategies, here are some factors to analyze before implementing each strategy:

-Cost to execute

-Personnel required to implement

-How much you can do vs. hiring and at what cost

-Resources available vs. resources required

-Time frame required for implementation

When your sales process is executed properly it will provide your business with a roadmap that takes your prospects from ignorance to awareness, into the decision-making process and through to the close, increase response and conversion rates, improve client retention, and save you from making costly marketing mistakes.

You must know the proper distribution channels, strategy and tactics that work best for your business. When you fully understand your sales process, you will position yourself years ahead of your competition and have a solid foundation to build a competition-crushing marketing program.
